• We offer various price points based on provider and service from $175 - $250 per session. Concierge rates are available upon request.

  • Our clients prefer an individually-tailored experience that is not at the mercy of the strict restraints of managed care. In order to have the freedom to provide you with the best, individualized and 100% confidential care - we are not in-network with any insurance and are considered an Out-Of-Network provider.

Insurance has strict guidelines on the types of therapy, lengths of treatment, and goals to focus on and frankly, we know you don’t fit in such a small box. Insurance also requires a diagnosis and access to records which may not be appropriate for some of our clients who want to control their confidentiality due to their profession or other reasons.

Some insurance companies do offer coverage for Out-Of-Network providers like us. What that means is if you have OON benefits then we will provide you with a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. We are more than happy to discuss questions about this during your initial consultation.

  • Such a reasonable question to ask, and there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this one. Everyone’s journey with personal therapy is unique to them - and the work moves at its own pace. You and your therapist will discuss during your first appointment and determine how long and how often you will meet.

  • At Empower Therapy and Coaching, we provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for your healing journey. We will work side by side to understand the root cause of your concerns and heal so that you can move forward with your life.

Our wish is that you feel both free and held in our non-judgmental, safe, inclusive, and accepting space so that you can share and process things that you may have never shared before.

  • Therapy sessions last 50 minutes, longer sessions may be reserved if arranged in advance.

Coaching sessions can be either 50 or 90 minutes, depending on the service you select when booking.

  • Therapy gives us a supportive and safe space to initiate change and address personal issues, relationship difficulties, and the challenges that we all face at times. At Empower Therapy and Coaching, we face those challenges together head-on with methods grounded in evidence and scientific research. As Carl Jung says, 'Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.' Therapy is a space for us to get curious and make the unconscious conscious, so that you can take ownership of your life and empower yourself to show up in the world as a healthy, whole, and grounded person.

  • While in many ways the work we do as therapists and coaches is similar, there tends to be some clear differences. Coaches work primarily in the right now and near future, working with clearly defined goals to help a client hit personal objectives around work performance, dating, personal motivation, and many more subjects! Therapists often start with your past, to examine and explore what has led you to seeking treatment, they are licensed and have formal training. Therapist are experts in treating trauma and emotional disorders. Of course we are happy to go over with you whether therapy or coaching is the right model for what you are seeking to achieve and work on, sometimes we find a combination of both to be the most effective too, it really depends on you as an individual and we always treat you like that, as an individual with your own specific needs and tailor our work to suit you!

  • Confidentiality is the foundation of therapy and coaching. Your therapy/coaching sessions are a container where you get to share openly - free from judgement or fear that your information will be shared. Apart from the exceptions listed below, which are required by law, we will not share information or respond to inquiries of any kind without your written consent.

If in our clinical judgment, you pose a threat to harm yourself, and you refuse appropriate treatment, your Empower therapist or Coach is ethically bound to notify the appropriate parties (those who can intervene to protect you).

If you indicate a serious imminent threat to harm another person, Empower is legally required to warn the intended victim(s) and the police, and/or to obtain a civil commitment to the state mental health system.

We are required to report any suspicion of child or elder abuse or neglect, to the appropriate authorities.

In rare instances, state or federal courts may subpoena our records for testimony. In most instances, we are forced to honor these subpoenas.

  • Such a reasonable question to ask, and there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this one. Everyone’s journey with personal therapy or coaching is unique to them - and the work moves at its own pace. The simplest answer is, that therapy/coaching ends when you feel like you’ve done the work you came to therapy for. Some clients come with a specific goal and the work is solution-focused and brief. Others find Empower so helpful, that even when their original goals have been met, they continue to unfold in their work and go deeper. And/or they add Empower in as part of their A-team and incorporate us into their self-care routine. The length of time you spend in therapy/coaching is in your hands and not something you ever have to sit wondering about. When the time to end comes, we can explore this decision together, with the understanding that you are welcome to come back at any time.

  • As mental health professionals and coaches, we have specialized training in helping people achieve mental wellness in a safe, confidential, and structured way. Your sessions are focused on YOU, it’s your space to receive undivided attention and unbiased support (which doesn’t work for too long in your friendships!). We are here to listen to you without judgment or expectations, have tough conversations, and challenge you sometimes - friends and family aren’t always able to do this for us. Don’t get us wrong - having a friend or family member in your corner is vital and will be supportive when we start therapy. It’s likely that processing painful emotions, negative beliefs, and vulnerable experiences, may not feel comfortable, appropriate, or safe with those in your family or friend group.
